At Domaine Asmara, we are known for our small range of premium red and white wines. We're not a huge winery. In fact, we’re pretty small. We don't spend a fortune on marketing. In fact, we spend hardly anything. We don't have a heap of fancy equipment or a big staff, there is only a few of us doing all the work. But the one thing we don't compromise on is our wine.
Everything we do is dedicated to producing exceptional wines. We spend our days tending our vines by hand. There's no machine intervention here (except for a pair of secateurs if you can call that a machine).
The only thing that intervenes is Mother Nature and you could say our wine is bio-dynamic. We like to say, let Mother Nature do its work on simply great vines.

The vineyard was established at Mia Mia in the southern part of the Heathcote Wine Region of Central Victoria in 1999, and in 2002 bore the first fruits of labour for the Baumgartner family(Norbert, Pam Nick & Chris).
The vines are low yielding and combined with a unique meso-climate produce rich intense and somewhat complex wines. The Marson family continues a winemaking tradition of some four generations in Italy and Australia at its Heathcote vineyard, Vinea Marson.
Established in 2000 on the eastern slopes of the Mount Camel Range, winemaker Mario Marson brings old world traditions to the new, crafting elegant expressions of Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Shiraz Viognier, Rosé and Viognier from Heathcote, alongside a Prosecco & an intriguing white blend, the Grazia, from the Alpine Valleys - nods to his north-eastern Italian heritage in Friuli.
Join us at the family table at our Cellar Door to experience these wines as they are intended - paired with antipasti and in good company.
