Mount Burrumboot Estate is definitely worth the drive! Mount Burrumboot is not just a winery and vineyard, but a working fat lamb and cropping farm of 2000 acres. Having a strong commitment to regionality and terroir in both their wines and foods, growing their own vegetables, and eating home-grown, free-range, organic lamb, pork, duck and chicken, and associated cured smallgoods, that they have produced and prepared themselves. Their motto is "We like to eat and drink well".
With one of the widest ranges of wine varietals in the Heathcote Wine Region including Shiraz, Sangiovese, Merlot, Tempranillo, Gamay, Petit Verdot and Marsanne-Viognier to tempt the fussiest wine palate.
*All cellar doors are owned and operated by the winemaker. At times, these small family run businesses may have other commitments and the cellar door may not be open. Please call ahead to let the vineyards know you are coming to avoid any disappointment.
